The Rhythms of the Night Dinner & Show has been running non-stop, with millions of visitors. It has been featured on National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, and many other worldwide channels and publications. Basically, It’s a BIG deal. Read more about the history of the show. This world-famous show is a short boat ride away from Vallarta – on Las Caletas beach hideaway in the jungle.

The Rhythms of the Night dinner and show is one of Mexico’s most popular tourist attractions. It is a performance that combines music, song, dance, and acrobatics with a delicious meal. The show takes place in an open-air theater off the secluded beach deep in the lush jungle.

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, it is definitely worth seeing and will leave a life-long impression. It’s still, to date, my favorite show I have ever seen.

The show is worthy of any Broadway invitation. It was conceived, written, and directed by one of the creators of Cirque de Soleil (you may be familiar with it). Gilles Ste-Croix’s inspiration for the Rhythms of the Night dinner show came from his many visits to Mexico. He was fascinated by the country’s culture, history, and mythology. He wanted to create a show that would showcase the best of Mexico’s traditions.

It is a celebration of dazzling acrobatic skills, pulsating original music, world-class choreographed dancing, amazing voices, and spectacular costumes.

But before we get into The Best Show in Mexico, we must talk about the 5-star dinner buffet served on the beach. Or the jungle’s edge, your choice. We always need to talk about the food, right?!

The Dinner - Traditional Cuisine

The experience is much like attending a dinner and theatrical show on Broadway. Yet it was a feast on the beach on the jungle’s edge. It only led to the show’s anticipation and wondering when and where it would occur. The dinner was perfectly timed, being served at dusk with a variety of options to choose from. Steak, Chicken, Fish, Pasta, Mexican favorites with any type of dessert you could think of. While you are enjoying a 5-Star meal experience, the local artist play music that sets the relaxing atmosphere with a surreal backdrop.

The buffet selection and open bar was not the only thing to enjoy before the show. Very talented artists would play their unique style of music that was perfect for the setting at your tables.

The Show - Music, Song, Dance, and Acrobatics

After a 5-star meal, you are led deeper into the jungle to the Pyramid Amphitheater. As you walk through the jungle, you have no idea what to expect or where you are going, and the anticipation only grows. You know something big is coming (you can hear the drums in the background), but you are never really prepared for what you are about to see. As you break through the jungle into an opening, you finally see the theater in the middle of the jungle. The torches, thick, lush jungle in the background, and surrounded by gives you the feeling of being in another world.

The show builds over each segment touching on different artistic expressions and talents to a crescendo grand finale. This world-class performance has a bit of everything! You are on the edge of your seat, waiting to see want comes next. I knew I was witnessing greatness and something that would stay with me always.

How to book your tour? I toured with Vallarta Adventures, who I cannot speak highly enough about, but you will have many other options. Some guides will even pick you up from your hotel. I just took a uber and showed up at the port, and followed the crowd.

You will depart from Terminal Maritima in Puerto Vallarta and Tour Offices in Neuvo Vallarta. You must book in advance as this is an extremely popular show.

Your tour package includes party barge transportation across Banderas Bay to Las Caletas Beach, an open bar, a candlelight dinner on the beach, and the most exciting performance you will ever experience. You will have a festive return ride to the port overseeing the lights of Puerto Vallarta.
