Let’s look at a couple of infographics to understand the quality of life in Mexico better. I’ll describe some of my top reasons you may consider putting Mexico on your To-Do-List.

The Food

This is perhaps what Mexico is most known for, and for VERY good reason! Mexico’s cuisine is diverse and delicious. Mexican food is known for its variety and flavor, from tacos to mole poblano. You’ll find everything from traditional dishes to modern twists in classic recipes. And if you’re looking for something different, try some of these fantastic foods from Mexico. And, believe me, some of it is extremely Ummm… different. We all love good food, and Mexican food is among the most favorable in the world. It’s NOT Taco Bell food!

Food in Mexico is delicious and varied, with regional cuisines influenced by a wide range of ingredients and cooking styles. From street food to high-end restaurants, you’ll find plenty of tasty options to choose from in Mexico.

The People

The people of Mexico are warm and welcoming. Travelers often comment on how friendly they are. In fact, Mexicans have been ranked as the happiest people in the world. Maybe because of the food?!

There are many reasons why Mexicans are so friendly. One of the most significant factors is their culture. In Mexico, family is extremely important, and they take care of each other. They have a strong sense of community and love to help others. They believe everyone has a right to live and should not be treated unfairly. They respect elders and try to treat them well.

Mexico is an excellent destination for a wide range of travelers, from families and couples to solo travelers and adventure seekers. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, an action-packed adventure, or a relaxing beach holiday, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Mexico. You will feel welcomed, and the locals will show you why they love and are so proud of their country.

The Culture

Mexico is home to ancient ruins, colonial cities, and beautiful beaches. But perhaps the country’s greatest attraction is its rich cultural heritage. Whether you’re interested in art, dance, architecture, or history, Mexico has much to offer. The culture, vibe, and laidback attitude is perhaps my favorite part of Mexico.

Mexicans are known for enjoying music, food, hard work, and pride in their country. You will notice these traits as your travel to Mexico. Try and speak a little Spanish, and they will do everything they can to help.

Mexico has a rich cultural heritage steeped in history and traditions dating back thousands of years. From the ancient Maya and Aztec civilizations to the vibrant modern culture influenced by a blend of indigenous, European, and North American influences, Mexico is a fascinating place to explore and learn about the world.

The Climate

I love the climate in Mexico! Traveling to Mexico means enjoying pleasant weather throughout the year. Winters are mild, and summers can be hot, but temperatures rarely exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I particularly love the climate in Central Mexico. In some places, year-round temperatures stay in the 70s during the day and can get quite chilly at night. My favorite city in Central Mexico is Guanajuato!

The climate in Mexico is diverse, with different regions experiencing different weather patterns. The country generally has a warm, tropical climate, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures year-round.

Mexico boasts a friendly attitude towards expats, an unrivaled climate, and a noticeably low cost of living. Unfortunately, this may not be enough for expatriates who hold safety and security in high regard. Friendly locals help to push Mexico into the top spot for ease of settling in. Expat parents still fear for their children’s safety, despite being satisfied with childcare and education. Mexico ranks #3 for personal happiness in general, in spite of ranking #54 for safety and security. 77% of expats say moving abroad has made them happier (vs. 61% globally).

The Value

Speaking Spanish will get you far in Mexico. Some locals speak fluent English, and many speak at least basic American English. But as I always remind people when I help arrange their travel (Read about Travel here), Mexicans VERY much appreciate you trying to speak Spanish. Simple greetings and a Gracias will take you a long way. Surprisingly, some words are very similar to English. It is said around 30-40% of all words in English have a related word in Spanish. If I said “Museo, resturante, hospital, and universidad,” could you figure out what I was saying? More than likely, there are many more similar words to English. You will get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Mexico is a great value destination, with affordable prices on everything from accommodation and food to activities and entertainment. Whether you’re on a tight budget or looking to splurge, you’ll find plenty of options to suit your needs in Mexico.

Mexico is a safe and secure destination with a low crime rate and a well-developed infrastructure. The country has a well-established tourism industry, and you’ll find plenty of support and resources to help you make the most of your trip.

The Celebrations

If you love partying, Mexico is the place to go. Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas host top-notch resorts where visitors can enjoy fine dining, luxurious spas, and lively entertainment. Fiestas are celebrations that take place throughout Mexico. Festivals are celebrated in honor of saints, religious holidays, and special events.

There are many types of festivals, including carnivals, fairs, music festivals, parades, etc. One of the biggest is Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday on October 31st. People dress in colorful clothing and go out to cemeteries to pay respect to their ancestors. It runs through November 1st and 2nd. People decorate grave sites and homes with flowers, candles, and altars. Families visit each other’s houses and share food and drinks. I spent some time in Mexico during this period, and to be honest, it was more like a week of celebration at least. Read about on of my Dia de Muertos experiences.

The Beauty

I love the food, the people, the low cost of living, the cultural experiences, and much more BUT what I fell in love with was THE BEAUTY of Mexico. From the mountains to the beaches and every type of landscape you can think of. I never knew I was a fan of architecture until visiting Mexico – I guess I am now! To be emersed in so much history was life-changing.

You might not realize it, but you’ll find plenty of animals roaming around Mexico. Monkeys, snakes, lizards, jaguars, bears, birds, and even whales live in the wild. With such a diverse landscape and climate, there isn’t much wildlife you couldn’t experience in Mexico. I had never seen a whale before until being in Mexico!

Mexico has a diverse and beautiful natural landscape, from bustling cities and towns to remote beaches, picturesque mountains, and lush forests. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or something in between, Mexico offers something.

In conclusion, Mexico is a vibrant and diverse country that offers travelers a wealth of cultural, natural, and culinary experiences. Mexico is a great destination for many travelers with its rich history, beautiful landscape, delicious food, friendly people, and affordable prices. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or something in between, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Mexico.

Let’s remember our position as a quest in another country and do our best to speak and walk humbly with dignity and respect for our surroundings: we’re the ones coming here to visit or live our best lives, and we, like many people trying to get in another country – are appreciative of the opportunity. Thank you for having me, Mexico.

As always, we appreciate you and…Live Con Todo.
